Along with some other really helpful people on the PG committee, I've been trying really hard to get an events calendar together for the rest of the summer. We're trying to organise an event every week, so that all you lovely PGs have things to occasionally distract you from all the researching you're doing!
So, the gorgeous Leonie and Sarah organised the first night of the Thursday film series ('Withnail and i') and I headed off to the Czech Republic for a week with my friend for some much needed R&R:
It was such a relaxing break (apart from a small interlude of food poisoning) but by the time I got back I had realised that the plans for Harry Potter Night had gone a little astray!
Anyway, a week spent in the Union, with the most excellent help of the wonderful Union managers Charlie. Bruce and Sandy, and it all eventually came together! I'm going to put up some photos as soon as someone sends them too me, since I was too busy dishing out Cauldron Cakes to take any!
Next week will be a busy one, we're planning on doing a little bit of consultation within the student body about accommodation wants, wishes and hates, we're going to take a bus full of PGs to experience the joys of the Edinburgh festival, and I'm getting training so that I finish building the new PG Society webpages on the St Leonards college website...
